Luna County’s Commission Chair Rick Holdridge, Deming's Mayor Andres Silva and Columbus’ Mayor Eddie Espinoza serve as members of the Region 4 Chief Elected Officials and are working to identify and meet the needs of businesses and job seekers in the region.

They have appointed and recertified key members of the SAWDB, with Linda Smrkovsky, from Luna County Economic Development and the Mimbres Valley Authority, now serving as Chair of the board while Mary Anderson from Deming’s Public Schools continues to serve as the SAWDB’s Youth Council Chair. Rebecca Sera and Julie Sera also serve on the Youth Council. Former Executive Director of the Luna County Chamber of Commerce Bridget Kelly, who now runs the Luna County Film Office, has contributed much time and effort to the SAWDB and plans to carry on these efforts in the future. Newly appointed members from Luna County include Bryan Reedy from Jr. Builders and Daniel Sanchez.
